Raphael Brenninkmeijer

Raphael of Dutch and Brazilian descent has always been interested in contact sports. This interest led him to have tried various forms of combat such as Boxing, Karate, Krav Maga, and Muay Thai. However none had the same impact as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu had on his life.
He became fully immersed with the sport, after enrolling at Urban Jiu Jitsu under head instructor Donggyun Kim in Seoul, South Korea. Wherein he was taught the Tri-Force system by Mitsuyoshi Hayakawa, where three core values are key to every Jiu Jitsu practitioner —spirit, technique and the physical.
Raphael too believes these concepts are indispensable for learning and teaching martial arts. And has been inspired to teach the wonderful sport to all those who want to learn to challenge their strengths and abilities under Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
